Algeria reaffirms commitment to youth-centered development

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reaffirmed on May 18 the state’s commitment to further advancing the country’s education system, according to Algerian-government-friendly outlet, AL24 News.

On the 69^th anniversary of Student Day, Tebboune established mechanisms to integrate university students and vocational training graduates into an increasingly competitive economy—particularly through facilitating the creation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The initiative is part of the country’s ongoing effort to diversify its economy and reduce its oil dependency, with the president praising the “ambition of those eager to contribute to the building of a strong and victorious Algeria.”
