Algerian ambassador reportedly seeks asylum in France

The Algerian ambassador to France has reportedly refused to return home, calling his home “the country of waiting lines”, according to Moroccan government-friendly outlet HESPRESS on May 18th.

After being stripped of his diplomatic status the ambassador applied for French citizenship however was denied it due to his former role as an official.

He will now remain in an “irregular position” in France with his family.
