US denies plans to deport Palestinians to Libya

The US embassy in Tripoli has denied reports that claiming that there were plans to deport Palestinians from Gaza to Libya, as reported by The New Arab citing Reuters on May 18th.

It had been reported by NBC News that the Trump administration was planning the deportations.

However the US embassy to Libya took to X to rebuke the claims: “The report of alleged plans to relocate Gazans to Libya is untrue.”
