UAE accused of launching drone strikes on Port Sudan

Sudan has accused the UAE of being responsible for a recent drone strike on Port Sudan after previously blaming the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) rebel group according to The New Arab citing Reuters on May 21st.

The UAE has denied responsibility and condemned the attacks.

A UAE statement said that: “It is deeply regrettable that the Port Sudan authorities continue to perpetrate violence against their own citizens, yet seek to deflect blame from their own responsibility for Sudan’s internal conflict by making unfounded allegations against others.”
