Cholera outbreak kills 172 people in Sudan

A cholera outbreak has killed 172 people and infected 2,500 more in the capital city of Khartoum in Sudan, as reported by Africa News on May 27th.

According to the medical NGO Doctors Without Borders, the country is at severe risk of being unable to deal with the growing medical situation.

This outbreak of cholera first spiked in the middle of May 2025 and is showing little sign of regressing.
