Eastern Libyan government may relocate oil HQ amid threats

The Eastern Libyan government has said it may enact a force majeure on the nations oil fields due to “repeated assaults on the National Oil Corporation (NOC)” according to The New Arab and Agencies on May 29th.
Despite the fact that Eastern Libya is not recognised as an “official” country, most of Libya’s oil fields are to be found in the east of the country under the control of the Benghazi based government.
The NOC was keen to emphasise that any move is normal for the oil industry “and continuing to perform its vital duties without interruption.”
