Nigeria: Terror and gang activity kills over 10,000 in past two years

Amnesty has reported that over 10,000 people have been killed by jihadist terror groups and criminal gangs in central and northern Nigeria in the past two years according to France 24 citing AFP on May 29th.

In a report published by Amnesty, the government of president Bola Tinubu was blamed for the failure to protect people in areas of the country hit by raids from jihadists and criminal gangs.

According to the report “in the two years since the current government has been in power, at least 10,217 people have been killed in attacks by gunmen”.
