Mozambique build energy aliance with Algeria

Mozambique is exploring cooperation opportunities with Algeria in the energy and electrical industries, said Mozambican Ambassador Antonio Augusto Eduardo Namputeche on June 1. The visit signals a potential expansion of bilateral cooperation in industrial energy sectors.
The statement was made 1 during a visit to the GSP Electric complex in Algeria’s Mostaganem province, reports Algerian-friendly news outlet AL24 News. Djilani Bachir Kobibi, president of Algeria’s Electrical Industrial Cluster (CIEL), has voiced his readiness to support the project.
The ambassador expressed hope that economic collaboration, particularly in gas energy and manufacturing of electrical equipment, would follow suit, highlighting Mozambique’s challenges in infrastructure, electricity transport, and gas-based power production.
