A United Nations aid convoy was attacked near el-Koma in North Darfur, killing five members and burning multiple trucks. The convoy, carrying food and nutrition supplies for el-Fasher, was attempting to reach famine-stricken civilians when the assault occurred.

According to the BBCon on the 3rd of June, both the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese army have accused each other of drone strikes. The UN called for an urgent investigation and accountability.

The attack underscores Sudan’s ongoing civil war, which has displaced over four million people and created one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises since its outbreak in 2023.
