Lebanese officials claim there has been over 3,500 Israeli ceasefire violations since November, with 174 killed and more than 400 injured. Meanwhile, French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived in Beirut for talks on June 1oth as diplomatic pressure mounts.

On June 7th, Lebanon warned its citizens, including public figures, artists, and reporters, to avoid any direct or indirect contact with Israeli army spokespersons or any media affiliated with them, Anadolu Agency reported and Maghrebi cited.

The Information Ministry stated that such communication breaches Lebanese laws, especially those concerning the boycott of Israel. The warning followed a video message from actress Nadine al Rassi addressed to Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson.

The ministry also urged citizens to avoid sharing unverified material and to rely on trusted news sources, as tensions increased following Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s Dahieh district.

Additionally, Israel stated on June 6th that it will keep striking Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed, following an airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs, Al-Monitor reported via AFP. The Israeli military had targeted alleged Hezbollah drone factories, prompting mass civilian evacuations.

Lebanese officials condemned the strikes as a severe violation of the November ceasefire agreement. Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and its President Joseph Aoun both denounced the assault as an infringement on national sovereignty.

France, urged both sides to uphold the agreement and Iran also condemned the strikes. The Lebanese army warned that further violations could halt cooperation with ceasefire monitors.
