Russia emerges as key wheat supplier to Libya

Libya became the third-largest African importer of Russian wheat in 2025, reflecting a significant shift in grain trade dynamics.
According to the Libya Review, Russian wheat shipments to West Africa reached 580,000 tonnes in the first five months of the year, a 38% increase from 2024.
