Israel says the plight of Gazans is weaponised by Hamas

Israel on June 12th said that the plight of Gazans is being weaponised by Hamas after a charity claimed that the Palestinian group killed five of its staff in Gaza, according to Al-Monitor via AFP.

According to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is both Israel and US-backed, a bus which its workers were travelling in to head to an aid distribution hub near Khan Yunis, was subjected to an attack by Hamas on June 11th.

The attack caused the deaths of at least five aid workers. The Israeli foreign ministry said: “Hamas is weaponising suffering in Gaza — denying food, targeting lifesavers and forsaking its own people.”
