Palestinian death toll in Gaza nears 55,500

The death toll of Palestinians killed in the war on Gaza which started on October 7th 2023 has reached 55,493, as the conflict continues to devastate the enclave, Middle East Eye reported on June 18th.

The Palestinian Ministry of Heath said on June 17th that at least 129,320 people have suffered wounds. Since March 18th, the Ministry of Heath reported 5,194 additional deaths and 17,279 cases of injuries.

According to local authorities, on June 18th, at least 30 people died in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks, Reuters reported. Reportedly, some Palestinians feel that their turmoil has not received enough recent media coverage.
