Israeli attacks kill 33 in Gaza, as people continue to seek aid

A total of 33 people have been killed in Gaza on June 18th as a result of Israeli fire, including nearly 12 people who were looking for aid from an Israel-backed foundation, The New Arab plus agencies reported.
Mahmoud Bassal, the civil defence spokesman, said to AFP that 11 people died, while over 100 suffered wounds “after the occupation forces opened fire and launched several shells… at thousands of citizens” who were waiting to receive food in Gaza.
Israel’s military said to AFP that its forces who were active in central Gaza found a group of people, deemed “suspicious” who were coming forward in a way that presented a possible “threat” to the military.
