Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, has continued to demand action against Al Jazeera, calling for the police to crack down on people viewing the network’s content in Israel, Middle East Eye reported on June 19th.

Ben Gvir also said that the media company threatens the security of Israel during a statement which was live on Al Jazeera Arabic and Al Jazeera Mubasher.

The minister’s remarks follow Israel’s ban on reporters and staff members of Al Jazeera, from working in its borders. The Palestinian Authority had also enforced a prohibition, which obstructed the media company’s coverage, from the occupied West Bank.
