Hamas: Gaza refugee crisis will end if Israeli occupation ends

Hamas has stressed that the suffering experienced by Palestinian refugees cannot end without the halt of Israeli occupation, Middle East Eye reported on June 20th.

In a statement for World Refugee Day, the militant group said: “There is no solution to the Palestinian refugee issue except by ending the occupation and allowing them to return to the homes from which they were displaced.”

The militant group also denounced the military activity in West Bank refugee camps by Israeli forces. The group referred to the activity as a dangerous method of targeting the refugee crisis through routine “destruction” and forced uprooting.
