Israel breached trade deal with EU, review finds

A forthcoming review of the trade deal between the European Union and Israel has identified that Israel breached the deal because of its operations in Gaza, Middle East Eye reported on June 19th.
In May, the foreign policy chief of the EU, Kaja Kallas, commissioned the review in response to a Dutch government request. Diplomatic sources from Brussels have said that review has identified Israel’s breach of the human rights and international law element of the deal. The union is the biggest trade partner for the Middle Eastern nation.
According to sources, the review presents evidence that Israel has violated international humanitarian law during the Gaza conflict.
