Crisis in Gaza continues but internet blackout slowly ends

Internet and phone services are beginning to work once again in Gaza City and Gaza Strip’s north, but the territory’s wider communications sector is still struggling to function, Middle East Eye via Wafa news agency reported on June 21st.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has stated that the connection has also been restored in the territory’s south and central areas following a blackout which lasted three days, that was prompted by Israel’s military operations.
But the wider communications system in Gaza is still in a state of crisis, with important services such as education, humanitarian operations and healthcare being severely impacted by outages.
