Despite ceasefire, Iran fires missile at Israel

Despite a ceasefire announcement by US President Donald Trump in the early hours of June 24th, tensions between Iran and Israel remain high, according to Radio France Internationale.

Hours after the declaration, the Israeli army reported intercepting an Iranian missile. Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz vowed retaliation at the heart of Tehran, The Independent reported on June 24th. But Washington claimed to have neutralised Iran’s nuclear capabilities following the June 22nd strikes on the Fordow facility and other sites.

However, on June 23rd International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi stated in Vienna that it was still too early to assess the full impact of the attacks from the US.
