More nations will normalise ties with Israel, US envoy says
The US Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, has hinted that more nations are looking to normalise ties with Israel and join the Abraham Accords, The New Arab reported on June 26th.
In conversation with CNBC, Witkoff said that widening the Abraham Accords is one of US President Donald Trump’s main priorities and that it is already in the works.
Witkoff anticipated that there will be “big announcements” on nations entering the accords. He added: “We are hoping for normalisation across an array of countries that maybe people would have never contemplated would come in.”
