Trump wants peace in the Middle East, Palestinian FM says

The Palestinian foreign minister has said that President Donald Trump of the US wants peace in the Middle East, suggesting an acceleration in US diplomatic efforts, France 24 reported on June 26th.

Varsen Aghabekian said during an interview with France 24 that Trump is “eager” to bring peace in the region. Aghabekian also stressed that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is impossible to ignore and condemned the “genocidal war” on the enclave.

Aghabekian claimed that Israel has made it blatant that it intends to “make Gaza Jewish again” through the strategy of annexation. The foreign minister also stressed that a two-state solution is the most practical way forward.
