Aid group chief defends work despite Palestinian aid hub deaths

The leader of an aid organisation backed by Israel and the US has defended the group’s operations, following ongoing fatalities of Palestinians seeking aid from its distribution sites, the BBC reported on June 27th.
Johnnie Moore, who leads the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), said to the BBC World Service’s Newshour that he was aware of the deaths near aid centres. But Moore stressed that “100% of those casualties are being attributed to close proximity to GHF” which he said is untrue.
Moore claimed the United Nations as well as additional global organisations have been disseminating unverified information.
