Gaza aid group proposed camps to “deradicalise” Palestinians

The US-endorsed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has proposed the formation of camps in the Gaza Strip to “deradicalise” Palestinians, Middle East Eye via Reuters reported on July 7th.
The idea forms part of a strategy to halt the power of Hamas in Gaza. According to Reuters on July 7th, the $2 billion proposal was presented to the US and also discussed in the the White House.
In the proposal, the camps are defined as big in size and “voluntary.” It also describes the camps as locations which Palestinians can “temporarily reside, deradicalize, re-integrate and prepare to relocate if they wish to do so.”
