Relatives of Israeli hostages seek answers over ceasefire talks

The relatives of Israeli hostages detained in Gaza have sought answers from Hamas through a third party, about the fate of the ceasefire negotiations, Middle East Eye reported on July 14th.
According to sources, the representative contacted the Palestinian militant group after the hostages relatives’ were concerned Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was attempting to stall a potential ceasefire agreement.
A senior official of Hamas told the third party to inform the relatives that the group is serious about striking a deal to stop the conflict and free the hostages but that “intransigent Israeli positions” remain in place.
