Children used as human shields in Gaza, Israeli soldier reveals

An Israeli soldier has said that troops have been implicated in Gaza war crimes, such as using children as human shields, which is a blatant violation of international law, The New Arab reported on July 23rd.

The soldier, referred to as “N” said to the Israeli publication, Yedioth Ahronoth, that the commander of his division had permitted soldiers to attack civilians, such as children and elderly people, while they were operating outside a hospital.

The soldier also spoke of how his division kidnapped two teenagers from one of the humanitarian corridors in Gaza and used both of them as human shields.
