Woman investigated over alleged plot to kill Israel’s Netanyahu

A woman in her 70s is being investigated for allegedly plotting to kill Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, police announced on July 23rd, according to Al-Monitor via Reuters.
The suspect, who is an anti-government activist, allegedly conveyed her plan to assassinate Netanyahu and looked for support from other activists to attain weapons and accumulate details about Netanyahu’s security strategy, according to police.
A number of people who overheard her comments reached out to the police, which led to the launch of an investigation. Roughly six weeks ago, the woman was arrested and was later put under house arrest.
