Libya: Trump advisor meets Haftar to discuss U.S cooperation

Senior Advisor to U.S President Donald Trump for African Affairs, Massad Boulous, met with General Khalifa Haftar near Benghazi on July 24th, following a meeting with Boulous and the western government in Tripoli, according to the Libya Observer.
The two discussed the prospects of cooperation between Libya and the U.S in economic and industrial fields, according to Haftar’s offices.
In a post on X Boulous affirmed “U.S. support for Libyan efforts to unify institutions, reinforce sovereignty, and chart a path to stability and prosperity through political dialogue.”
