At least 60,000 Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza

Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have caused the deaths of at least 60,000 Palestinians since October 7th 2023, according to Al-Monitor via Reuters on July 29th.

Gaza health authorities have said that the majority of the fatalities are those of civilians. Gaza’s health ministry has said that the number of those who suffered injuries is 145,870, while many are still trapped beneath the rubble of collapsed buildings.

The Gaza conflict started after Hamas launched an attack on Israel’s south, causing the deaths of roughly 1,200 people and taking over 250 people as captives, Israel’s authorities have said.
