Trump calls on Israel to allow food entry into Gaza
US President Donald Trump has called on Israel to allow “every ounce of food” to enter Gaza, as people continue to go hungry in the conflict-hit enclave, The Guardian via The Associated Press reported on July 29th.
Trump said: “We are giving money and we are giving food . . . I want to make sure they get the food, every ounce of food. Because that food is not being delivered, or at least all of it.”
Many Palestinians have died due to starvation, which the United Nations as well as other humanitarian groups have said is down to Israel’s obstruction of nearly all aid into Gaza.
