Houthis sentence son of former Yemeni president to death

The son of the late Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh has been sentenced to death by a Houthi-led military court for charges of treason, corruption and espionage, The New Arab via Saba news agency reported on August 1st.
The Brigadier General Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh was convicted of “treason, collaboration, and espionage with the enemy,” under a ruling of the Central Military Court, issued on July 31st.
The military court ordered for the seizure of the Brigadier General’s assets as well as the retrieval of embezzled funds, as reported by the Houthi-monitored Saba news agency.
