Libya: polling staff trained up ahead of municipal elections

Libya’s High National Election Commission (HNEC) released a statement on August 2nd to say they had conducted training for polling staff in preparation for the second phase of municipal elections in Libya, according to the Libya Observer.
The voting for municipal elections is due to start by mid-August, and the second phase of the elections will be held in 63 municipalities across Libya.
Election progress has been halted in some municipalities, with blame attributed to the eastern government, but this new training signifies that the HNEC is prepared to carry out the elections.
