Hezbollah warns of retaliation if Israel’s war on Lebanon resumes

Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem on August 5th said that missiles will target Israel if the country resumed a war on Lebanon, while the pressure mounts on the militant group to disarm, according to Al-Monitor via Reuters.
Qassem’s remarks came against a backdrop of Lebanon’s cabinet being in talks over the appropriate course of action concerning the group’s arsenal, after the US pushed Lebanese officials to take action on disarming the group.
Qassem warned that if Israel carried out “large-scale aggression” against his country, his group, the Lebanese army, and the wider Lebanese population will defend themselves.
