Number of Palestinians in Israeli prisons highest in 25 years

The amount of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons has hit its highest level in 25 years, the Palestinian Prisoners Information Office said on August 13th, according to Middle East Eye.
The amount of detainees in August was 10,800 people, which includes 49 women and over 450 minors, according to the office. The office also said that over one third – 3,613 people – are being detained with no trial or charge – this is the highest amount recorded as of yet.
Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have previously discussed their experience of not receiving medical care under Israeli detention and enduring routine torture.
