Saudi Arabia: man executed for attending demonstrations aged 15

Saudi Arabia said on August 21st that it executed a man for crimes he allegedly committed when he was just 15, as the country faces a critical execution crisis, according to The Washington Post.
Jalal al-Labbad, who was 30 years old, was jailed in Dammam’s Central Prison and had been charged in July of 2019 under the the country’s Anti-Terrorism Crimes and Financing Law.
He was charged for putting national security at risk, spreading terror and backing armed groups. Duaa Dhainy, a representative of the late Labbad and a researcher at the European Saudi Organization for Human Rights (ESOHR) stressed that the charges were unfair on every level.
