Israel should be dropped from UN General Assembly, Turkey says

Turkey’s foreign minister called on Muslim countries on August 25th to seek the suspension of Israel from taking part in United Nations General Assembly talks and activities, Middle East Eye reported.
In an address to Riyadh’s emergency summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers, the Turkish minister, Hakan Fidan, said Palestinians need collective support to halt Israeli bombardment in Gaza and the occupied West Bank’s settler attacks.
Fidan stressed that an initiative must be put together “within the UN for Palestine’s full membership” and that “the suspension of Israel from the work of the General Assembly” must be considered.
