Israel’s Netanyahu sends aide to UAE in bid to fix relations

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, sent a high-level official to the United Arab Emirates in a bid to recover bilateral ties as the Gaza war continues, according to The New Arab on August 22nd.
Reportedly, Rob Dermer, the Israeli strategic affairs minister, was dispatched to the UAE where he participated in talks with officials.
According to sources, the main area of focus for the visit was a briefing for the Emirati leadership on Israel’s intentions of occupying Gaza City. The UAE has openly denounced Israel for breaching international laws during the Gaza conflict.
