Yemen: Houthi prime minister killed in Israeli air strike

The Houthis announced on August 30th that their prime minister, Ahmed al-Rahawi, was killed together with several other officials in an Israeli airstrike carried out on August 28th, according to Middle East Eye via AP.
Yemen’s presidency said the officials were hit during a regular government workshop, in which their performance is assessed.
Rahawi, who has been in office since August 2024, is the most senior Houthi official killed by Israel. The group began launching missiles and drones at Israel after the country started attacking Gaza, following the October 7th 2023 attacks by Hamas.
