Martin Jay: Israel’s plan to annex most of West Bank is a bluff

Editor-in-chief of Maghrebi.org and RT contributor, Martin Jay, has said Israel’s annexation plan for the West Bank which could see 82% of the territory becoming a part of the country, is a bluff, during an RT Interview.

In the interview, posted on the YouTube channel of Middle East Explained on September 5th, Jay said: “I think the Israelis have somehow backed themselves into a corner and don’t have any really salient, sober, long-term strategy for Gaza or the West Bank.”

Jay also said that the plan seems to be a response from Israel to the Western states, who have vowed to push for Palestinian statehood recognition at the UN General Assembly, which will open on September 9th.
