New Libyan political roadmap is in action, says UN envoy

UN envoy to Libya Hanna Tetteh has confirmed that the new political roadmap to stability and elections in Libya has started being implemented, according to Libya Observer on September 4th.
The roadmap was presented to the UN Security Council on August 21st, and focuses on amending electoral laws, the main obstacle for national elections so far.
Tetteh stated that the United Nations Support Mission in Libya has contacted the House of Representatives to discuss legislative reforms, and members of the High Council of State to push the Joint “6+6” Committee to resume its work on electoral laws.
