US slaps fresh sanctions on Yemen’s Houthis

A new wave of sanctions from the US against the Houthis of Yemen have been unveiled, in what the US has defined as its most significant action against the movement, Middle East Eye via Reuters reported on September 11th.
Four vessels as well as 32 people and entities were slapped with sanctions in an attempt to hinder Houthi fundraising, military activity and smuggling.
The move includes penalties on a number of companies based in China which have allegedly provided military-grade components and arranged multipurpose items for shipment to the group.
