Israeli strike in Doha sparks backlash from Qatar and US
Israel conducted an attack targeting Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar, on September 9th, killing six people, although Hamas confirmed its senior officials survived, as reported by Maghrebi Week on September 15th.
Qatar condemned the attack on its territory and vowed a possible response, while Washington criticised Israel for not giving prior notice, with US President Donald Trump saying he was “very unhappy about it.”
Ex-head of the Israeli Air Force and military intelligence, Amos Yadlin, said that “the objectives of the operations were not achieved.”
