China is ready to expand work with Libya to global governance

China’s chief diplomat in Libya, Liu Jian, has commented that Beijing is ready to work with the Tripoli government to improve global governance and jointly address international challenges, according to the Libya Observer on September 18th.
In comments reported in Libyan media, Liu Jian stressed that the two nations have close coordination at international forums such as the UN, and are both committed to promoting a fairer and more rational international order.
This follows an announcement from China’s President on September 1st of a Global Governance Initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency of international mechanisms.
