Morocco: Woman almost killed by her ex husband

A young woman in Morocco almost dies from domestic violence and rights organisations call for policy reforms.

As seen in MaghrebiWeek on September 29th, a woman named Imam was subject to a horrific knife attack by her ex-husband, she suffered serious injuries to her face and hands. Imam was then rushed to emergency care as authorities immediately opened an investigation to the incident.

As well as serious outrage on social media, regarding the situation, rights groups and legal experts have also called for more proactive solutions in preventing violence against women facing domestic violence.
