French government collapse leaves Macron isolated

Following the unexpected resignation of French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, talks were underway on October 8th to resolve the crisis, according to Algerian state-backed outlet AL24.
The outgoing Prime Minister was tasked by Emmanuel Macron to meet with allies from the right-wing party Les Républicains and Macron’s group Renaissance.
With increasing discontent from his own party and calls for his own resignation, Macron finds himself isolated as the political crisis deepens.
