World Bank raises growth outlook for MENA region

The World Bank has increased the Middle East and North Africa’s 2025 economic growth forecast to average 2.8%, up from a 2.6% forecast in its April outlook, according to Reuters on October 7th.

Reportedly, this lift was prompted by Gulf nations seeing a rise in economic activity after the accelerated phasing out of oil generation cuts and growth from the non-oil sector.

The World Bank said: “The outlook has also improved in oil importing countries, driven by private consumption and investment, and a rebound in agriculture and tourism.”
