US and Morocco meet to discuss military cooperation

Representatives from the US and Morocco met for talks in Rabat on October 20th, according to a report from the Moroccan government-friendly North Africa Post on the same day.
The talks were held by US Africa Command (AFRICOM) Chief General Dagvin Anderson with Minister Delegate in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi and Lt. General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone.
The purpose of the meeting was to reaffirm commitment to strengthening US and Morocco military ties, including participation in the annual multinational “African Lion” joint training mission.
