Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt, has visited Brussels in Belgium to attend an Egypt-EU summit, which is the first of its kind, as reported by Asharq Al-Awsat on October 22nd.

The event indicates that relations are improving between the country and the union following Europe’s months-long delivery of financial aid to the North African country.

According to ex-Egyptian diplomats, the agenda of the summit would include political issues within the region, which likely refers to the Israel-Hamas ceasefire which seemed to be on the verge of collapse.
