First domestic flight lands in Sudan’s capital since war began
The first domestic passenger flight landed in Khartoum International Airport in Sudan’s capital since the country’s civil war broke out in 2023 according to the Associated Press on October 22nd.
In the backdrop of a horrific civil war that has killed over 40,000, Sudan’s media and culture ministry confirmed that the Badr Airlines flight safely landed in Khartoum’s airport after departing from Port Sudan.
This marks the first commercial flight to successfully touch down in Sudan; the only other flights that have been received by the airport were two arrivals containing military chief and de facto leader of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan. More
