Libya askes UN to restructure mission

The Libyan government sent a letter to the UN expressing its “deepest condemnation and concern” and asking to restructure the mission, Libya Update reported on October 23rd.

The letter claimed the mission’s actions are causing serious violations of sovereignty, going against the principles of the UN Charter, and are motivated by a political agenda rather than impartiality and professionalism.

The government further backed the restructuring of the UN Support Mission in Libya to restore confidence in the UN’s role. More
