Social protection spending increased to $4 billion in Morocco
Morocco plans to increase its social protection spending from $3.61 billion in 2025 to $4 billion in 2026, Moroccan-friendly Atalayar reported on October 24th.
With several schemes and plans within it, a major portion of the newly allocated funds will go towards monthly child allowances for lower-income families.
The news about the decision comes shortly after the nationwide youth-led protests over healthcare, public education, and allocation of funds in Morocco. More
